‹› Full Moon Blessings ‹›

"as is the Way of things, we are arrived again at a Full Moon" spoke Selene, the teacher who some respectfully called 'the Goddess'. "let us explore what the Moon has to tell us.... Lucina?

"this Full Moon is in Aries, called the Ivy Moon by some. it is a strong Moon which tells of forward movement and empowers us to make new plans and see them to fruition."

"very well said, Lucina" responded Selene, "and that shows us that each Moon has a certain personality. with that in mind, what does a Full Moon in general teach us?"

"that which has come and gone, will come again" chimed in a young boy, "and... that it will be the same, yet never the same, as before."

"Yes! excellent, Eristad. the cycles remain, yet each incident is different in untold ways. some say that nothing is ever new, but the Moon tells us that everything is always new. each ending is a new beginning, and even if you come to fullness at the end of the road, and turn around on the same path, the way back will be different than any other time before. this is a truth we see in the personality of the Moon, and it reflects in us.... is there any other way the Moon reflects in us?"

"well" said Iris,  a shy young girl, "if we see the Moon as a flower, at full it is the completely open blossom, spreading her light and sharing her beauty to the fullest. perhaps that may reflect in us?"

"yes indeed it may" replied Selene, "and it can bring us joy and freedom of self if we allow it to do just that. thank you Iris. now, i have just one more thing to add:

the movement of the Moon affects the tides, affects the water of the earth, and the water of us, the blood of us all.  we are full now, with the passion and completeness of the Moon of our Selves. ride it high, use it well. for the Moon and we will empty then fill again ~ rejoice that we may feel these cycles, and more even than that; revel in the fact that we are an integral part of these cycles, and of this full Creation.... 

go now, dear students, and shine forth in fullness, empowerment and beauty in the light of this Moon."
