what is sacred?
we are being asked to ponder this one question today: what do you hold as sacred in your life? if you hold balance and peace as sacred, do you attend to them even in the midst of chaos? if it's a belief you have, do you hold to it when positive results of that belief are not immediately apparent? a place? do you care for it and keep it sacrosanct? if it's love you feel as sacred, do you nurture that love and let it grow unencumbered? perhaps you see life as sacred; if so, are you able to look upon all of creation with those same eyes...?
hold dearly to that which you know in your heart to be sacred. take all action from that place of purity and your path will come into balance, be alive with treasures and rise happily to meet you.

holding the expansive creative thought dear...

Great Grandfather, a venerable Lakota medicine man, came in on the songs of sunrise today, offering visuals prayers from the sacred pipe of union, and summoning the Spirit of Buffalo who filled the room with greatness. "Look into the eyes of Buffalo" said he, "and become one again with the Great Spirit who walks this earth. Be as Buffalo on this land; strong and gentle, generous and serene, walking in harmony with all things. Know your prayers are heard, and offer gratitude for that already received. Buffalo portends the promise of prophecy fulfilled, of abundance to share with all life. Accept these gifts that Buffalo brings with humility, and honor them as sacred...." As my Great Grandfather left with the wind, he tossed me a tiny seed sprouted in spring, but it was Buffalo who said, "feed the earth and you shall be fed."
