‹› manifesting miracles ‹›

they were walking together in quiet contemplation through the massive wooded garden along the water's edge. the Mentor's eyes were roaming everywhere, absorbing everything in her sight. realizing that the student with her, however, kept watching only his feet move through the tundra, she softly inquired; "what is occupying your mind dear boy? you know, questions may not always be answered, but you may ask any you wish...."

"very well. thank you Esteemed One" he responded. "you have told me before that to be able to manifest miracles, one must notice miracles first." "yes, that i have..." "but i have not seen any miracles performed at all, so i'm wondering how i shall ever manifest any myself."

"have you not?" said the Mentor. "perhaps you have seen them but have yet to notice them. stand still for a moment my son, and let your eyes roam this beautiful garden. notice the colors surrounding you and note how you feel when you gaze upon them. do you feel strengthened when you see the earthy colors of the earth?" "well, yes...." "and you may feel clam spread through you when you look at the dark and light green playing upon the leaves, and lighter of mood when you gaze at the blue sky filtered through the trees." "yes, i do" said the student, "but..." "no 'buts' young one. these are all miracles of nature provided to help you and heal you. notice them fully, drink them in and you will begin to understand. you are working miracle inside of you too, as you allow your body, you mind, your spirit to respond....

"miracles are not some trick of illusion for which you may have looked before. they are natural and all around you and in you. and some take time and no little effort to manifest. see this stalk here?" she moved aside for a moment and the student saw a stick in the ground now sporting gorgeous vibrant flowers, where before he could have sworn there were none. "this was just a  bare branch when the Master Gardener put it in the earth. but he took care with it. he gave it food and water and loved it into bloom. he performed a miracle with help from the elemental life here. and if you ask him, he would say that a wondrous Elemental Being gathered a bit of night and spread this into the flowers to place stars in their very center; he sees that as the miracle, and he may very well be correct. but however it was done, he helped to manifest it with his care, belief and love. dearest Student; notice all the miracles surrounding you and the ones of which you are already a part. nourish them and you shall find that you will see more, and be able to manifest greater and greater miracles as you grow. others may see them as great and grand illusion, but you will know that they are as naturally grown as the miracle of life you see before you."

"you are very wise" said the young man with a gracious bow. "perhaps" laughed the Mentor, bowing in return, "but mostly i just see what is there...."
