please, consider this...
as usual when he appeared before a gathering of students such as this, he seemed to be floating and glowing. there came, also as usual, a respectful silence. and he spoke:

"today, i'm going to ask you to consider some things as if you never knew them, or as if you never even had the concept of them.... the first is the Firefly" he showed them a jar full of them. "what if you had never been told what a Firefly was, had never seen one?" he darkened the room with a small flick of his finger, then released hundreds of tiny rhythmating lights into the air. "just consider if no one had told you what these are, no concept, no reference... what would you see?"

"Faeries" "stars come down" "a symphony of light!" they answered.

"excellent!" the Master responded. "now, what if no one told you what time was? or,what if there was no time?" "you mean no clocks" asked one. "yes, and more; not even the concept of time... is that possible? what would your life feel like then?"

"i would feel timeless" quipped another. "yes, and you would be ~ except, how could you be timeless without conceiving of time? watch everything move as if you've never conceived of time... you will be amazed at what you may find.

"and last ~ consider that hate had never been conceived of. what if fighting didn't exist as a resolution to anything, and war had never been thought of? consider that you never saw or heard of war. how would that make you feel?"

one small girl with very sad eyes looked up at the Master and said, "that would make me very happy...."

"yes, as it would make the world... now please, go and consider these things. namasté."
