‹› the butterfly's song ‹›

"what do you want?" the man asked the small girl at his door. he was obviously perturbed. "excuse me sir" said the girl, "my name is Zoe, and i was given a song today by a butterfly who told me to share it with everyone.... perhaps you would like to hear it?" for some inexplicable reason the man shook his head no, but said "yes, alright."

Zoe immediately began to sing the song from the butterfly who had visited her that morning:

"transformation is easy, tho' humans find it tough;

to change completely they say to be rough.

so sing this song to everyone you see;

if they do these small things, transformed they will be.

if you begin every day with gratitude in your heart,

the day will be better from the very start.

if you sing of compassion with every thought,

you will find the peace you have always sought.

if love is the face of each action you choose,

each moment you will win, you cannot lose.

and one last thing, when you go to bed,

keep beautiful visions within your head.

your life can be changed if you use these few tools,

and you will live in a world, where happiness rules...."

Zoe turned around and began to skip away, moving her tiny arms as a butterfly would. the man at the door, smiled slowly, then called after her "Thank you, young Lady, you have made my day;

 i shall endeavor to do as you, and the butterfly, say!"
