‹› the Star of the Soul ‹›

he realized that he was just feeling his way through this, but it was one of his greatest desires to be the best Fisherman the world had ever known; to bring sustenance and abundance to the people of his village. but now, out on the water and catching no fish for the third day, he became depressed and worried that he would go home empty handed again. "this is the last hook i shall cast" he said aloud. "if nothing comes of this, i shall take it as a sign that i should follow my dreams no more!"

just as he was about to cast into the water, his world seemed to suddenly turn on its edge so, the water and the sky became side by side instead of above and below, and standing in the space where land meets water was the apparition of a beautiful Goddess-like woman. she was pouring liquid sky into the water and water into the sky; indeed, elixir of a beatific nature was emanating and flowing from her very being. when she spoke, everything around him vibrated with the sound.

"abandon not your quest, dear Fisherman, for that is what you truly are. should you fore go your dreams now, they shall never be realized."

"w-w-ho are you? he stammered in awe of the vision.

"i am a reflection of the Star of your Soul" she answered. "gather hope together, Fisherman, for you have found the beginning of your Way in your dreams, desires and intentions.... now the Star of your Soul can show its light and illuminate your path and purpose. allow this illumination to heal the destructive thoughts of despair and depression. you are in the right place, this is the right time. worry not about the situation, rather meditate on it and bring your power of intuition and creativity out of this light to help you achieve that for which you have such positive intentions. carry on dear sir, with vitality and inspiration. forget not the talent you have for invention and discovery on this quest and you shall be rewarded with the abundance you seek. it is all with in you ~ become the Star you now see reflected in your heart and success, even beyond your dreams, shall be yours...."

"i thank you" he was saying as the world righted itself, and he heard the vibrating water and air whisper; "thank yourself, Fisherman. remember; i am a reflection of you, and you are a reflection of the wisdom of the the Ages...." 

he decided then and there to design a superior way of catching fish, and in time, did indeed become the best Fisherman the world had ever known.
