‹› ...let this be the last... ‹›
"there was a great and benevolent Dragon named Ai'yahnawa~skai" began the Dragon Wizard, after being asked repeatedly to tell the story. "this was a very long time ago in the memories of humans; not so long ago in Dragon memory.... humans at this time were in a stage of separation, from each other and far from the Spiritual concept of the Oneness of All. the races of the world had pulled apart from each other so much that they had no common language, no form of communication for all. consequently, they were suspicious and fearful of each other, constantly fighting over land they thought they owned and over beliefs built on the concept of singular righteousness and separation. they had forgotten, or had not yet realized, that all their beliefs sprang from a common Source and led to a common destination. they warred each with the other in an attempt to keep their egos and personalities, by which they were ruled, intact. the humans had the materialistic belief that matter and form were the ruling principles of existence, and built barriers and massive structures dedicated to this greed of attainment and to show their strength and power in a materialistic way.
Ai'yahnawa~skai, who for some reason felt a great love for humans, witnessed all this with heart felt pain and, being prophetic as are most dragons, feared ultimate annihilation if they continued on this path. in his benevolence and compassion, Ai'yah tried to communicate this fear to the humans and show them a different way, but the enlightened ones who could hear and see him were few and had no power to stop the destruction. as wars raged on, many beings were killed by the aggression and subsequent retaliation, and the structures, temples and towers of the humans' belief and power toppled. finally in his desperation to be heard and to help, Ai'yahnawa~skai materialized wrapping himself around a besieged structure, holding it together with his powerful spirit. as lightning spiraled around the tower he spoke for all to hear:
'let this be the last! let this lightning break down the forms that have caused the destruction. allow it to light the way of peace in the darkness of war! let the waters wash away greed, dissension, intolerance and leave you with compassion, understanding and wisdom. here is your chance to stop the vicious cycles you have set yourself into by pride, ego and power mongering. all over the world it is the same; ripples of retaliation foment more, and more, and more of the same.please, humans, see that what you do to others, you do to yourself, for all are one in the Great Creation. please, for the sake of your very lives, the lives of your children, for the lives of all beings sharing this planet; find the Way of Peaceful resolution, else soon there will be nothing left. as this structure falls' and here Ai'yahnawa~skai let go his hold on the tower, "let it symbolize the collapse of ignorance and false reasoning. let its fall teach you how to build correct foundations of respect and honor for each other and all earths creatures. heed this, for from here, there is no other way if you are to survive. be illuminated, not destroyed!'
thankfully, at this point, many humans took up the voice of Ai'yahnawa~skai, and repeated his words with strength and conviction. others began to hear these illuminated beings, and acted accordingly. slowly, bit by bit, everything changed from that one lightning flash of truth, and now for countless ages, all the beings of this universe have lived in harmony, with respect, trust, love and compassion ruling their interactions. Ai'yahnawa~skai was a great and benevolent Dragon, and lives on in us all."
may we heed the illumination
blessings
